Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get my tree (or wreath) after I’ve made my online order?

All trees are to be picked up at our tree lot, located at Mill Creek Park in South Portland, Maine. You should have had an opportunity at checkout to schedule a time to pick up your tree. (If you didn’t, or forgot - click here for scheduling). When you arrive at the tree lot at your selected date and time, please make sure to bring a print out (or digital copy) of your receipt and/or your order number, and a photo id. We have specific areas marked for you to pull into for the pickup process. We will bring the tree to your car, pre-wrapped in netting for easy transport. All trees will have a fresh “stump cut” if you chose that option at checkout. This allows for easy watering.

What if I want to purchase the tree on-site?

You’re more than welcome to come visit our lot and buy a tree as you have in past years. The lot is card-only this year, so please keep that in mind. The lot will be modified to satisfy COVID-19 protocols. There will be controlled entry, designated flow and social distancing, and a limit to the number of patrons on the lot at any given time. Curbside pickup is not available for trees selected on-site.

Why buy online?

Due to the COVID-19 situation, buying online and scheduling a curbside pickup of a netted tree enables a safe and convenient option to buying on the lot.

What is a "netted" tree?

All our trees come from our supplier tightly wrapped in a netting material for easy loading and transport. All trees bought online will remain netted and loaded on or into your vehicle (unless you’ve chosen the “choose my own tree” option at checkout).

How am I assured that I am getting the tree quality and size I selected?

Trees come from the supplier tagged for quality and approximate size prior to the netting process. This will help ensure that you get the size, height, and quality of the tree you ordered.

What if I need a specific sized tree?

Our trees are size-graded in one foot increments. We can always trim the trunk of a tree to decrease the height, but unfortunately cannot add length to a shorter tree. For that reason we suggest you buy the larger size, and we can trim the trunk before loading it onto your vehicle.

What if I’m disappointed in the netted tree I bought online?

Our intention is for every customer to be satisfied. If you are unhappy with your selection, contact us and we will discuss returning your purchase for a replacement.

Can I order online, pay, and then select my tree and wreaths at the Millcreek site?

Yes, you can order and pay online, print a paid in full receipt, and come to the lot and select your items. However, you will have to enter the site at the designated entrance for shoppers and abide by the COVID-19 protocols of the lot, select your tree and wreaths, present your receipt at checkout and transport home.

What is the curbside pickup process?

Online, at checkout, you will be prompted to select a convenient time to pickup your tree and wreaths. To claim your purchase, there will be an exclusive designated lane along the side of the Mill Creek site, drive in, present your receipt, and we will provide a fresh cut if desired, and load the netted tree.

Are tree prices the same online as in-person?

Yes! COVID-19 has driven us to create this new process, yet our prices are the same online and onsite. The website allows you to purchase other accessories as well as your tree and wreath from the comfort of your home. The website also allows you a chance at winning a prize, in lieu of any discount, maybe a free tree for next year or other interesting gifts
